The goal of this project was to give the Detroit Design Festival package an identity for the 2016 year. My concept was focusing on what drew younger audiences to the festival, so I wanted to keep the color pallet simple but eye-catching. The image in the background is a long-exposure sparkler, which I thought looked both fun and industrial, two aspects of DDF I wanted to capture. The DDF logo I created is the Detroit skyline rendered into a square shape, since DDF has used a square as their logo for many years. I wanted to keep the shape, but update it, to show Detroit community coming together for this event.
